Robotanists is a band making music that will either break your heart or relieve you from one. Their debut album "Close Down The Woods" is a self produced and released collection of songs that echos the landscape of the east side of Los Angeles that they call home; its moody, gritty, fragile and epic all at once. ROBOTANISTS spent 2009 spreading their big choruses and delicate prose across North America on tour and on the radio. Their breakthrough single "Wait a Minute here" topped charts in Los Angeles and other major cities across the US, along side bands like Phoenix, Grizzly Bear, The Dead Weather, Dirty Projectors and more, earning them a slot at CMJ in 2009 and on the ballot for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards Nomintaions. Robotanists recently finished their second album, a collection of covers that the band performed on the road throughout the year, called "Shapes and Variations;" look for it everywhere online in 2010!
