New York City based Musician and Composer Roxy Coss has traveled to perform around the world. She has played in the gardens of Paris, at the North Sea, Vienne, Montreux, IAJE, and JVC-New York Jazz Festivals, and also at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. Roxy has appeared on the Today Show Live, and has performed at the Blue Note and Sweet Rhythm in New York.
Originally from Seattle, WA, Roxy received numerous soloist award as part of the Garfield High School Jazz Band, where she held the first tenor chair. She received a Presidential Scholarship to attend William Paterson University in NJ, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Music Degree in Jazz Studies/Performance.
Some of the great jazz musicians Roxy has performed with include Clark Terry and Grassella Oliphant. She also performed as part of the William Paterson Big Band with Slide Hampton, Joe Lovano, and Dave Valentin. In addition, as part of the Garfield Band, Roxy appeared with Wynton Marsalis, Joshua Redman, Ernestine Anderson and Bill Watrous. Roxy has guest appeared with The Seattle Women's Jazz Orchestra, and opened for the Dave Leibman Big Band and Rufus Reid's Quintet plus Four as part of the esteemed Jazz Room Series. Roxy has also performed with the Gospel Musician Leon Lacey, and his Live Orchestra.
