  Rufus featuring Chaka Khan was one of my favorite groups during the 1970's. They are still awesome. Thank God for CDs.

  I remember being 10 years old and writing about Chaka Khan as my hero. Even took the poster that came with my Rufus album to school. I remember getting an F because my (melanin challenged) teacher told me singers couldn't be heros. Martin Luther King was a Hero, JFK was a hero. Chaka Khan was a singer. I remember my dad going with me the next day and reading that woman the riot act. And I was regraded - fairly - by another teacher and got a B... I've always been a fan of Rufus and especially ...   Awesome group. I love them in the 1970's when I was only a 9 year old girl. Check out my blog. It's about college days, as a professional student. I am also the biggest hypocrite because I criticize the behavior patterns of kids, when I am a few fluid ounces short of a full cup.
