The Danish group is the brainchild of guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Keith Canisius who recruits singer Louise Kortermand and Jonas Munk (aka Manual) for a little extra assistance. A great deal of credit must go to the production - shared between Canisius and Munk - which successfully strives for a textured Cocteau Twins-style sound, characterised by guitars drenched in chorus and reverb, all reinforced by Munk's distinctive beats and electronics. The epic fuzzscaping of 'Dreampoppers' demonstrates that the band certainly aren't shy of wearing their influences on their sleeves. This might take on some negative connotations were it not for the fact that they're so remarkably good at both the songwriting and the period-perfect sound engineering.
