I began piano study at the age of seven after picking things out by ear from radio, my brothers’ piano lessons and classical music that I listened to. Quickly, I developed a love for all things musical. I studied throughout high school and college with the late Patricia Weaver. My background is of classical study, yet I am truly passionate about arranging and composing. I have composed and recorded music for cello and piano, solo piano, SATB chorus and chamber orchestra.
I have been performing professionally for 18+ years, playing solo concerts, weddings, graduations, fashion shows, church services, restaurants and private fundraisers. I have been teaching private lessons since 1995. In 1998, I became involved with Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Chandler, Arizona as musical arranger and pianist. In 2005, I released my first solo album, a collection of classical, jazz and original compositions. In June of that same year, I relocated to Fort Collins. I currently am the Music Director and Choir Director at Foothills Unitarian Church. I also co-direct a community choir in Northern Colorado.
My eventual musical goals are to continue to record and perform solo music, as well as arrange and compose for film, stage and documentary. My passions include my daughter Elena (known as Lanie), wolf revitalization, travelling, cooking, red wine, coffee, chocolate, hockey, biking, camping, skiing, hiking and being outdoors.
