Eric and Ryan formed SLAVEMACHINE in Raleigh-Durham, NC in December of 1999. After many attempts to find others who shared their vision, Ryan introduced Eric to old friend and drummer Lee Whitfield. With Eric's sledgehammer guitar riffs and Ryan's mind-twisting vocals combined with the Armageddon that Lee brought with his pounding, the machine was nearly complete. Countless auditions were conducted for a bass player, but no one truly understood the vision that Ryan, Lee and Eric shared. Then Jimmy Johnson moved to North Carolina from Texas. He shared a similar interest in this vision so he auditioned for bass player. All agreed that Jimmy's contribution was just what they lacked. The machine was now complete. When Slavemachine broke out on the local scene, they immediately blew audiences away. Within no time, they were headlining all over the state of North Carolina. They went into the studio at the end of 2001 and walked out with a 4 song EP that received rave reviews. Quickly, their first cut "Crazy" was being played on radio stations from North Carolina to Florida. In June of 2002, Jimmy Johnson decided to step away from Slavemachine to pursue his education. With the band fully supporting his decision, it was time to fill the open slot. Bassist, fan, and friend Aaron Xavier was more than willing to accept the challenge. His musical vision, playing and backing vocals were the perfect fit. SLAVEMACHINE delivers music that is aggressive and heavy. They have stormed across North Carolina leaving a wake of fanatics in its path. Their live shows produce a visual high and will make your brain sweat from the intense sound.
