Description:
SOULARFLAIR is intensity... an intellectual and emotional trip... I do not consider that my music fits into one category. I have created songs that could be classed as progressive rock, classical, metal, ambient, electronica, acoustic, soundtrack and more. I completed an album called "Dark Matter" of one style I named "Cerebral Electronica" - music that makes you wanna move but at the same time stimulates thought. I also did a more progressive/experimental, much heavier guitar based album (self titled - "Soularflair". They're both available at CDBaby.
Of the songs I have here at GarageBand at present - 8 are guitar-oriented - "Watershed", "Red Pill Blues" and "The Everlasting Embrace" are what I'd call progressive or experimental rock, "Cutting The Cord" would be progressive or instrumental rock, "The Death Of Forever" is probably best labelled progressive metal, and "7 Trips Insane", "It's The Smiles That Keep Us Going" and "Rage In Serenity" are much more full-on metal but still with a progressive edge. "Shulgin's Dreams" and "The March Of Entropy" are electronica. "Enchiridium Metaphysicum" is a classical organ piece. "Burns For Another is my most accessible (commercially appealling?) track so far - it has vocals.
History:
I have also composed music for the soundtrack to an Australian short film called "Silicon Spies" (www.siliconspies.com), as well as music for the pilot of a TV show called "Australian Ghost Stories" There's footage on the website (GB messes up web addresses! Go to australian-ghost-stories.com) There's also clips on YouTube.
I see no reason to impose limits on my compositions. I especially like intense, edgy pieces. I don't want people to say "That was OK"...I want them to say "What the fuck was that??" I am very interested in more soundtrack work. My music is best suited to that anyway, I believe. SOULARFLAIR can be reached at adam@soularflair.net. Or, as a backup, adammannering@yahoo.com
