August 10, 2009 (Las Vegas) – Continuing the critically-acclaimed Vegas show, Carlos Santana and his band have added November show dates for Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits. Fans now have the opportunity to catch the signature fusion sounds of Santana at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino eight times in November and can purchase tickets starting Friday, August 14 at noon. Dates for the new run include: November 11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20, 21 and 22 and will have an earlier show time of 8 pm. Through the end of this year, The Joint is the only venue in North America featuring this legendary band.
Those wanting to see this limited-time resident gig sooner, can also purchase tickets for performances from September 4-15, which are on sale now.
“It’s a great journey for us to come to Las Vegas and bring our music – which is composed of light and love, and good vibrations – and share it with the people that hopefully will come from all over the world to see us,” said Carlos Santana.
In May 2009, Santana showcased his unparalleled talent when he launched Vegas’ first rock resident show to rave reviews. The Los Angeles Times said that Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through The Hits “proves what an unusual rock icon [Carlos Santana] is” and highlighted the “deeply energetic” performances of his long-time band members, which routinely has audience members dancing in the aisles.
Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits features the band’s career-spanning classics such as “Oye Como Va,” “Black Magic Woman,” “Evil Ways,” and “Smooth” in a show exclusively designed for The Joint. Illustrating the band’s free-flowing musicality, Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits takes fans on a multi-sensory journey of their favorite Santana songs and much more. Each show is a unique take on the band’s repertoire, creating a one-of-a-kind performance for show-goers.
Santana plays approximately 36 shows per year at The Joint, with a show time of 9 pm in September and 8 pm in November.
