Based just East of Los Angeles, in Whittier, Sci-Fi Lullaby is a music project driven by the creative teamwork of songwriters Art Martinez and Anthony Rodriguez along with Mark Cervantes on Percussion and Alex Tanasi on Bass, Guitar and Backing Vocals.
Anthony's early musical influences started with avant-guard musicians and bands such as Fad Gadget, Nick Cave, Cabaret Voltaire, the first two albums of The Human League and KraftWerk. These bands and more feed Anthony's deviant curiosity with lyrical intrigue and musical experimentation. Whereas Art's early influences were more conventional from the likes of Motown, The Beatles, and 70's singers/songwriters. Sci-Fi Lullaby is a unique medley of musical tastes that we hope you will enjoy and if your don't enjoy it, that's okay too.
UPDATE 09/11/04: Currently you can find the band recording their next album in and around the LA area. Stay tuned to this channel for regular updates and samplings from their upcoming studio release.
If you want to buy Art a beer, you can find him after recording sessions at Boardner's on Cherokee and Hollywood. SFL begins scheduling live dates starting early 2005.

Without a doubt, one of the best bands that never was. At the time it was new, it was really fresh, crunchy pop with just a taste of everything that was decent at the time without anything that I'd call "lifted" except for "Over the Clover" and Oasis' stuff. Give them a listen. You'll probably be shocked that they didn't blow up.
