San Antonio's Scriptures For a Severed Heart delivers savage music that is both deeply emotional and extremely confrontational. SFASH was formed in 1999 as the band recognized as Noizfed and immediately started playing as frequently as they could. The first period of the bands existence was a complete downfall for the band. Different members were approaching and disappearing due to the amount of drinking and drugs they used.. Tough times hit the band and many people doubted the group. After many stressful months put into practice and shows the band slowly fell apart and finally broke up. But, a change occurred and the band gradually started to come back, picking up new members along the way. Subsequently, Noizfed had all of its members who were prepared to come back, but something didn't seem right ... their name. As vocalist Jim said, "We've broken up three times and we've had so many members, we aren't Noizfed anymore." So they decided to amend their name to Scriptures For A Severed Heart. The band line up consists of: Vocalist-Jim Guitars-Mike and Gilbert Bassist-Marjorie Drummer-David Without saying too much, the lyrics are personal but yet universal enough to where anyone can relate to them. The lyrics Paint a detailed portrait in visions no eyes should ever see, Jims vocals are nothing less then a chainsaw of emotions ripping through the crowd and tearing kids to blood and guts. Joined by the machine blasting drums and powerful provoking riffs, their music is a nightmare that has been introduced to a gathering of big name acts such as From Autumn To Ashes, Unearth, In Pieces, Brothers Keeper, Avenged Sevenfold, The Rise, 7Angles7Plagues, Kid Gorgeous, Hopesfall and Throwdown. SFASH's first full length, entitled "The Official I Hate You" will be out by Dec/Jan. Followed by a long east coast tour. ::Listen to more at www.mp3.com/sfashtx
