Since the formation of Short Fuse in early 2005, the band has been dedicated and focused on their music. Within six months they released their first full-length album, Hate Brought to this Place Called Home. Packed with all original material, it was recorded with Professional Murder Music vocalist, Roman Marisak producing in his Los Angeles, CA studio and at Trident Studios in Pacheco, CA with Vile front man Juan Urteaga (Skinlab, 36 Crazyfists) producing. The album was skillfully mastered by Tom Baker at Precision Mastering (Marilyn Mason, Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails) in Hollywood. What resulted was an album and a half worth of material full of raw emotion and angst.
After the release, the band has infected audiences with their driving music and energy packed stage performance. Whether performing in front of local audiences in their San Francisco Bay Area home, or dominating thousands of fans at festivals such as Locobazooka, MetalFest, and LocoFest, Short Fuse delivers an unforgettable performance. Throughout their career, the band has played in front of audiences of over 10,000, sharing the stage with such acts as Suffocation, (hed) pe, Alice in Chains, Mudvayne, Disturbed, Dropkick Murphys, God Forbit, Buckcherry, Dope, Ill Nino, and many more national acts.
Preparing darker, heavier songs for their sophomore album, vocalist Myke DiBattista, guitarists Scott Chavez and Anthony Flick, bassist Tony Eakes, and keyboardist Martin Boynton have been joined by Joe Zapantis, whose drumming style fits the faster driven style. Now, more than ever Short Fuse is ready to take on the musical scene without taking a second to look back.
