  John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson was 1st....Recorded on Bluebird and was a fantastic harpist! But was murdered on the way back from a gig in 1947 or 48 I think and Sonny Boy II aka Rice Miller or Little Boy Blue became more known....especially in the blues revivals in the 1960s

  steve, I know what you're talking about..that sonny boy II took the first's name and everything, but I'm pretty sure all four of those pictures of sonny boy williamson II, the one most people know.

  legend, when i first heard sonny boy williamson II he sent shivers down my spine. Amazed me in a Bye Bye Bird video while he was playing the harp like smoking a cigar!

  Too bad they are showing 2 different guys in the picture. The guy on the right didn't record these songs. Oh well both Sonny Boy's are great.
