    Stan Kenton - one of a kind! His Artistry in Rhythm is forever a classic, of course. I was in jazz band in high school in the late '70s, and we did his versions of MacArthur Park, Jazzman and Malaguena. What power! What joy!

    Stan Kenton over the years, had incredible bands. And to this day, the style that he was able to popularize through the 50's 60's and early 70's is still as hip as it ever was in the jazz genre... hell yeah!
