TV Theme Songs. The Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the Seattle rock trio Stay Tuned. Their mission: To explore strange, new cities and venues. To seek out new life in the most influential TV Show Themes of the Television Age. To boldly go where no tribute act has gone before…
For over 4 years, Stay Tuned, the self-proclaimed Ultimate Television Rock Experience, has been sharing their unique arrangements of popular TV themes such as “Charles in Charge”, “Happy Days”, and “Gilligan’s Island” with audiences all over the Northwest. Their musical versatility coupled with the universal appeal of television allows Stay Tuned to not only integrate seamlessly with a wider variety of acts, but to appeal to a wider fan-base as well.
Stay Tuned has performed with national touring acts such as Super Diamond, Storm Large (from Rockstar: Supernova), The Squirrels, The Original Booty Burglars, and Optimus Rhyme, with local tribute acts such as 1234, The Misfats, Maiden Seattle, and Devil’s Food, and have performed at venues all over the Northwest ranging from large venues such as The Showbox, The Fenix Underground, Chop Suey, El Corazon, The Fremont Oktoberfest, The Ash Street Saloon (Portland), and Studio 7 to more intimate venues such as The Sunset Tavern, The Funhouse, The Central, The Rendezvous JewelBox Theater, Tommy’s Nightclub, and The High Dive.
Their onstage energy coupled with the emotional connection that audiences have with their eclectic collection of musical material have earned Stay Tuned a growing reputation as one of the Northwest's premier acts. In addition to performing to enthusiastic crowds up and down the coast, they have been featured on The BJ Shea Experience and The Freakshow With Ronny T on 100.7 The Buzz in Seattle, Variety Mix with Cheryl Waters on 90.3 KEXP in Seattle, written about in The Seattle Times, The Stranger, and Seattle Weekly, and were nominated for the 2004 and 2005 Seattle Weekly Music Award for Best Tribute Act. Ian "Prime Time" Sterling of KBSG in Seattle has said about Stay Tuned: "If you get enough (Jaegermeister) shots down ya ... this would be the best band you've ever heard.".
Stay Tuned’s debut album, This Is Only A Test, was released in 2005 and was produced by Stay Tuned and Brin Addison (whose previous producing credits include artists Chris Cornell, the Smashing Pumpkins, Smashmouth, and The Indigo Girls). The album is available in stores as well as online and has, since it’s release, consistently sold hundreds of tracks per month on digital download services such as iTunes in addition to in-store sales.
