  • Fans often reminice about the Forbert of the late 70's, But there is no reason not to become a new fan based on his rescent music alone. For instance, "Just Like theres Nothin to it" is a much better album than "Alive on Arrival".
  • My brother bought Steve's first album back in 1977 and we were both hooked for life. Unfortunately we haven't been able to see him perform live on stage. But we keep hoping he is coming over to the Netherlands.
  • I had to special order the first couple of vinyl replacements, Alive on Arrival and Jackrabbit Slim. That was the late 80's. Since then, I've had the opportunity to see him live at one coffee shop in the area, he did a free show promoting Rocking Horse Head, I think. It was a real treat. I hope he visits the west coast again sometime.
  • I've been a fan since Alive on Arrival, but never saw him perform until 2004 - hazards of living in Nova Scotia. Since, I have seen him in 12 shows (and counting) from Ontario to Boston - sometimes solo, and sometimes with other artists with him (Mark Stuart was fantastic). Steve's music always seems to touch me deeply, with biting lyrics that hit me in the root of my soul - love songs, cute ditties, evironmental awareness, lost loves, and the trials of being an adult male in today's society ... More...
  • I first saw Steve in the (very) early 80's. I was amazed then and I'm still amazed everytime I play the CD. Incidentally, when I replaced all my cassette tapes with CDs, I had to order CDs from a store. Steve... you're Indy Rock!
