Supermodel Suicide started sometime in the first quarter of 2002. This came after Matt & Joor left their old band (Shortie – Earache Records) to pursue something that better suited what they wanted to do musically and artistically. It took only 4 or 5 months to find the perfect drummer for the job. That drummer was Robert Torres, formerly of Tooth & Nail artist Focal Point. Matt, Joor, and Robert practiced and wrote for long hours almost everyday. The plan was for Matt & Joor to take on the vocal duties for the band - Both playing guitar, and both singing. Using previous experience from singing in past bands, they found that they could shape the songs they wrote better when they had control over the vocals. So, all that was left was to find a bass player. What completed the group is an old friend whose band had just broken up, and his name was Dano. Supermodel Suicide has already begun to make the local snotty scenesters shake their hips. Joor- Guitar & Vocals Matt - Guitar & Vocals Dano - Bass Robert - Drums We play the music that WE want to hear. We play the music that will make YOU dance. All of the members of this band have been in touring acts, and have recorded many different records, but it all adds up to this. Supermodel Suicide has already released their debut CD called, “A Soundtrack For The Non-Believers“, and are on a constant schedule of regional shows.
