Graven Image was formed in February of 2005 through collaboration between Lead Vocalist Kainan and Lead Guitarist Hectic. Never a simple Garage Band, Graven Image has hit the music scene hard and heavy since their inception over three years ago. Hitting clubs and bars throughout the west coast. Graven Image has rocked the Underground scene. They wasted no time in recording their first demo in April of 2005 at Pus Cavern. It featured Wall and Hands Around Your Neck. The band is made up of four members, Kainan/Vocals, Hectic/Guitar & Backup Vocals, Wrath/Bass and Sykx/Drums. Their passion for music can be heard in the primal beats of their songs, in the hardcore guttural lyrics, that are poetic violence. As well as in their amazing energy packed stage presence, they bring to each show. This hunger to dominate the music industry has propelled them from the local stage to the national stage receiving them recognition time and time again. In June of 2005 their song Wall was featured on 98 Rocks (98.5 FM) compilation CD, Sac Rocks, Vol. 12. Wall was put into rotation through out Northern California and beyond, playing on such stations as 98 Rock in Sacramento, CA, OZCAT Radio in Vallejo, CA, 96.7 in Modesto, CA, 90.3 KDVS in Davis, CA, 107.7 The Bone in San Francisco, CA and 93.9 KFM in Chico, CA, 105.7 KOZZ in Reno, NV. Other songs have hit the air following the success of Wall. Including Hands Around Your Neck, Wicked Imprint, Caged Fear, Peeling The Sun, Carved, Fall In Line, Of War, Break, Gods, And most recently With Closed Arms. In October 2005 they released a five song EP titled Entrance Wounds. It was recorded at Metal Works recording studio with Josh Williams. It included the songs, Hands Around Your Neck (New Version), Wall (New Version), Peeling The Sun, Wicked Imprint and Carved. Selling over five hundred copies In its very first week, In the same month Graven Image was named artist of the month by 98 rock radio. As a result Grave Image did an hour long live interview live on the air, as well as write ups on KRXQ.net. 98 rock also did a once a week highlight of the band as well as play a different song every week of the month. Later that month Graven Image performed Live on OZCAT Radio in Vallejo, CA. 2005 was finished out with more touring of northern California. 2006 started with a bang with the production of a Music Video for the song Hands Around Your Neck in April. The video was Directed, edited and produced and by Ethan S. Tabor . The release of the video was followed by a three song Demo in May 2006 at Metal Works recording studio with Josh Williams. It included the songs Gods, Break and Caged Fear. After the release of the Video and Demo, Graven Image focused the rest of 2006 and early 2007 on live. In August of 2007 they released their third Demo, recorded with D. Sheldon at J Street Recorders. The demo featured Fall in Line, Of War and Caged Fear. In May of 2008 Graven Image was awarded Best Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Rocking Track by Garageband.com. They were also awarded artist of the month two times by Garageband.com as well as artist of the week once and artist of the day twelve times. In the past three years Graven Image has played in over 200 live shows all over California and Nevada. They have played with such bands as Mantis, Exodus, Full Blown Chaos, 5 Bolt Main, Dragonlord, Domeshots and 8mm Overdose to name a few. Graven Image has also been featured in a centerfold interview with Your Music Magazine as well as countless other write ups, Interviews, and show reviews in magazines, On webzines and in all other media sources . The music videos for Hands Around Your Neck as well as live performances have been aired on the Sacramento TV show Capital Chaos on channel 18 in Sacramento, CA. Graven Image is currently in studio at Metal Works working on a new demo and they are booking a West Coast tour scheduled for the fall of this year.
