  april fools!  there will be no iron tunnel to jupiter...for now.  maybe later, but right now we're just gonna keep on focusing on our non-jazz/metal fusion material.  it was fun for a day, though.
  
  in other news, we've been back home from tour about a month.  thanks to everybody who came out to the shows on tour.  it truly was the best tour ever! so thanks for joinin in the fun!
  
  now we're gonna get back to it.  keep your eyes peeled for some show announcements.  and we'll keep on working on new music to share with y'all.  it might not be jazz metal, but it will rule!

  The Iron Tunnel to Jupiter

  hello hello hello,
  it’s been a while since we’ve had anything to share with you. but don’t you worry, silence is golden, hence from silence cometh gold. josh was a math major, so he can actually prove it(seriously, there’s actually some very complicated physics and differential equations he can use to prove “silence = gold”), but we told him to not waste everybody’s time with that here. so enough with the build up already, here’s the gold that we have for you.

  in the month or so since we’ve been back from tour we’ve been doing some serious “hunkering down” in the twin cities. and by “hunkering down”, we mean making some seriously wicked music. and now, we are very excited to announce that we’ve finished our next record! we decided to go in a new direction this time and really explore that jazz/metal fusion sound that we’ve been missing (and has been sadly overlooked by most musicians). the album will be called “the iron tunnel to jupiter”. we believe that this album title best embodies the sonic revolution that we are about to unleash on the world…and the universe!

  please come back tomorrow, when we will unveil the cover art, release date, and track list details.

  we could not be more excited to share “the iron tunnel to jupiter” experience with you!

  random musings

  *if you ever have 4 hours to kill and you have any interest in tom petty, i would highly recommend that you find yourself a copy of the DVD, "runnin down a dream:tom petty and the heartbreakers".

  *t-minus 1 week til our first show in omaha.

  *i think my favorite record of 2008 was tha carter III.  lil wayne is rediculous.  straight jams.

  *the vikings didn't execute the game plan on sunday.  that just straight pisses me off!  damnit!  however....i guess they are still 10-6 and nfc north champ...that's better than 8-8...or 6-10

  *happy new year!!!

  back to blogging

  it's been a long time since i've done any blogging.  i've fallen off the wagon.  too much football watching, too much song writing, too much.  but that's all about to change.  so get ready for some mad blogging.  if i don't have anything to blog about, i just blog about blogging.  blog blog blog.
  
  there was an election the other day here in the us of a.  i'm excited that we have a new president.  we here in minnesota are still waiting to see who our senator is going to be here in minnesota.
  
  on election night i went to go see bob dylan at northrup auditorium.  the whole night i, he only played the guitar for half a song.  i had heard that he'd been on a piano/organ playing kick, and sure enough, he tickled the ivories all night long.  it was pretty great to see him for the first time, though.  he busted out some old reworked stuff, but mostly it was newer songs.  it was crazy to see someone who's touring at 67 and rocking out so much.  he's amazing.
  
  there were about 100 people "reveling" outside of treehouse records when i was heading home at about 2am.  it was pretty nuts.  folks were honking their horns, people were having a good time; celebrating.
  
  well, i don't have much more.  we have been working on a bunch of new songs.  so we're gonna have some new stuff to play on our winter tour.  it's been a lot of fun, and i'm really looking forward to tour.
