Texan Hex formed two years ago at California Institute of the Arts in Valencia. We were all jazz performance students and found ourselves writing tunes that seemed to suggest a more lyrical- rock approach to them. We have played at a handful of venues in LA, but are more concerned now with finishing a long awaited first release(long awaited by us), and have tons of tunes ready for recording another full length. These records are due to be released this summer by Time Release records, a small indie label out of Long Beach.
