The Absynthe Effect is the result of one Canadian's attempts at writing music since he was 16. No guest musicians yet. Sounds usually revolve around a central idea or scene, with heavy influences from rock and electronic music. The Absynthe Effect has released 2 albums thusfar, "Tin Can Symphonies" in 2003, and "Give Me Some Substance" in 2008. Also released are a series of mix albums entitled "Mixanthology" in 2005, and created a 2 hour concept mix entitled "Chaotic Consistency (Twiddle Me This") in 2006. In 2007, The Absynthe Effect provided a score for the short film "Corporeal Memories", which was entered in the Niagara Independent Film Festival. Unofficial remix work includes the likes of Bob Dylan, U2, The Killers, and FC Kahuna. A collaborative mix has just been released with Joseph Unseung, entitled "The Future Sound of North America". The Absynthe Effect is currently unsigned.
