Dec 04 2008, 07:11 AMStart of tour..well..kinda.Hi guys.
We are getting up bright and early tomorrow, to go to Nottingham. Where we will play with good friends, The Voom Blooms at The Orange Tree.
Should be a good night.. I know I had fun the last time we played in Nottingham. And last time we saw the Blooms was at Proud Gallerys in Camden, where they delivered a good show. So it should be worth the effort! :)
Today we posted a brand new clip on YouTube.
It's a live clip of us playing "Tonight", which is the b-side on our 7" single, which was made available mon 1st dec. You can also download the single from iTunes, Limewire, or other cyber-based-music-shops that have any respect for themselves!
Check it out here:

If you can't decide wether or not to buy the single , which is printed in a limited etd. hand numbered by the four of us, see what theese guys say:

If you can't find it in any shops near where you live, try ordering it from this shop:

We have also decided to print up a couple of special "The Alexandria Quartet" T-shirts, which will be delivered to us on friday, just in time for our little tour with Travis.
And when we're talking about the Travis gigs, I just want to remind you, that if you are going to any of our gigs with them, it's a good idea to show up at about 8ish... I think we are on at 8pm almost at all the venues. Travis is on about half an hour after us.
To sum up:
Buy our single, either digital, from webstores or show up to one of our gigs and get buy them from us.
If you want a T-shirt, come to one of our gigs and buy them from us..
Come to see us play with excellent band The Voom Blooms in Nottingham!
See us support Travis in Copenhagen 7dec, Oslo 8dec, Amsterdam 10 dec or Brussels 12dec.
See live clip of us on YouTube, if you can't decide wether or not to come to our shows!
Have yourselves a merry little christmas (which means, if you are in London, stay the fuck out of Oxford St, not worth it!).
See you soon,

Nov 26 2008, 08:41 AMA little of this and a little of that.Hiya!
Me and Chris are left behind in north London, while the to boys are back in norway...
Luckily , we are good at finding things to entertain ourselves with. Last night we went to see The Voom Blooms at Proud Galleries in Camden. Good job guys! Then we took Andy from The Voom Blooms out for some drinks, and it got late...
Some of you might have noticed that the single is not in the shops today as announced. This is , as I've said earlier on, not our or Nettewerks fault, but the manufacturer who, in lack of a better way of saying it, fucked up!
It should be out next monday, though, I am not promising anything!
We are confirmed at Tom Allalone & the 78s Xmas party at the 9th of december. I have heard rumors about mince pie and rock and roll bands playing xmas songs...could it be?
And I think it is free aswell!
Last, we played at 333 in Shoreditch, London last monday and someone wrote quite a nice review. See it with your own eyes here:

Nov 17 2008, 03:27 AMTour update, Day 10/11 - On To The Last Gig Of The Tour!Tour update, Day 10.
Today LEEDS!
And it was loads of fun... not to crowded, but not bad either. We're happy to announce that we get on well with the northerners. Mostly cause that's my part of the country in norway, and because Martin loves the northern accent in the UK!
Not that much to tell you except it was all good, and we are now safe and sound in our Travelogde rooms, being the good Christians we all are. Reading books and telling bedtime stories to each other, rather than being out drinking, as the other bands prob. are.
Anyways, last gig away from London tomorrow at Dry Bar in Manchester and I think it's gonna be a good one.
See you there!
Tour update, Day 11.
Went from Leeds to Manchester, which was a pretty snappy drive..only took us about an hour. So we actually had some time to walk around and see Manchester before soundcheck.
And we actually got some time before the gig to go back to our hotel rooms, to eat and relax before we played, so that whole experience was new to us here in the Uk...we never have time to eat/relax or anything. So we were very pleased with that.
The gig went well, Dry Bar is a good venue, even though the PA system isn't as good as it should be, but I think it sounded alright with the other bands so I guess we were ok!
After the gig we decided to make it a late night, it was the last gig of the tour, so we had some locals show us around( think it was Gillan, and I'm sorry, didn't get your name, his girlfriend..). So they took us to a cool place called Matt and Phred. Which is sort of like a jazz place. An excellent place to finish our last night of he tour.
Yesterday, Friday, we drove back to London. And our 4hr drive ended up being a 6hr drive thanks to rush hour...Nothing to do about that, so we tried to keep the spirits up listening to the radio.. which sort of worked out I guess.
So now we're back in London, just looking forward to our gig at 333 mother on Monday!
We'll try to post some pictures from our little tour, so keep posted!
Thanks to all the people who showed up to see us, all the bands we played with (yes we actually liked some of you even if we didn't say so!) and thanks to all the other people we met and worked with. See you soon!!
Cheers

Nov 17 2008, 03:21 AMTour update, Day 9 - Leeds And Mancester Here We Come!Hello!
After a day off, well spent in camden with our Norwegian friends we played at Metro, London today with our good friends from Tom Allalone & the 78s! We had loads of fun tonight, even though we were a bit sad beacause our sound engineer was stuck at home with his broken foot... He was told yesterday that beacause of his touring with us, it had not healed as it should've, and was forbidden to go anywhere!
Luckily he found some funny things to pre-occupied himself with... he has re-programmed our new gps, so even though he is not with us in person, he tells us where to go and we still get the amount of cuss words we need to get from a to b! Well done Mr. Hole!
However the gig went very well, and we were pleased to see so many unfamilar faces... Even met a couple of fellow Norwegians, ho had taken the time to come see us! Cheers!
Also, in other, non-touring news, we are a bit sad to say that, it might seem that the single might get a bit delayed.... It is done, but it's not how we wanted it look, so we are now waiting on all new printed vinyls... More info on this later!
Although we are leaving tomorrow for our last out of town dates of our little tour, Leeds and Manchester, don't think we haven't found ourselves a clever way of looking after and feeding our bed-resting sound engineer. Luckily, good friend, Mr. Marvik is staying an extra day while we are out of town, and tomorrow he is considered the legal guardian of Harald (sound engineer). And on Thursday, our friends from Casiokids is coming over to pick up their equipment and sleep at our house while we are away- so they are taking good care of him on Thursday.
So it's all good. Now get your ass of your couch and come see us in Leeds and Manchester!
Cheers!
See you!

Nov 11 2008, 04:14 AMTour Update, Day 7/8 - A Day Off In Camden Town!Tour Update - Day 7.
Last night we played in Bristol at a good venue called Louisiana! Prob. one of the best venues on this tour.
But we were all pretty tired, cause we drove from the gig in Southhampton back to London and then from London to Bristol and back again on sunday.
The gig went down pretty well, all things considered. Half of our monitors weren't working and the electricity cut of on "Into the light", actually just as Martin sang "Into the dark"... pfft...no power. But it was fixed in a rush and we continued with our set.
Cheers to Corteous Wonderful Gentlemen for lending us their backline and actually giving us some audience to perform to!
All in all, a good gig, and thanks to the people showing up and actually listening.
When we came back to London, three good friends, from norway, were waiting in our house with ice cold beers...and today we are tired and pleased to have a day off!
Playing at Metro with Tom Allalone and the Blue Bambinos in London tomorrow, and I feel it is a strong lineup, and for that small amount of money to buy tickets, it's just silly not showing up!
Tour update, Day 8: DAY OFF!
Today we have a day off in London.
It will be spent with our good friends from Norway (check out some of their bands Hypertext, Megaphonic Thrift and The Low Frequency in Stereo), eating indian food and exploring the beers in Camden!
Cheers!
See you,
Kim,TAQ -
Nov 11 2008, 04:13 AMTour Update, Day 5 / Day 6 - A Late One With Andy From The Voom BloomsHi guys!
Day 5:Driving from Glasgow to Nottingham took us longer than expected and we showed up just in time for soundcheck at The Bodega. A very nice venue wih good guys working there! They even fed us and gave us beer! CHEERS! After the gig we had to get all the stuff out in the car and check in to the hotel. Then we went straight back to the Bodega and had a couple of drinks. After that we met Andy from The Voom Blooms and his friends and it all gets pretty blury after that... It was a good one last night though, my body tells me so today!
Day 6:
We didn't start driving until 12 today... So we started the day well rested.
Got to Southampton about 16, but we couldn't get a hold of the promoter...and after sitting around at the pub next door for 1 and 1/2 hrs, without getting any contact with the people at Hamptons, we thought we might have to go back to London without playing. Eventually the guys showed up, and it turns out that the promoter had a day off and nobody told us!Anyways, it's all good. The guys are setting up the gear on stage, as I'm writing this. And I think tonight will be fun, the prizes in the bar are supposed to be insane. so I guess there is bound to show some people just because of that! Anyways we're headlining the night and we're on at 22.15...
People of Southampton: come to Hamptons, have a cheap drink and enjoy our concert!
See you!

Nov 11 2008, 04:12 AMTour Update, Day 4 - A Case Of Cold Beers!!Thursday, November 06, 2008
Hi!
Today we've done nothing but eat a poached egg for breakfast, drive around listening to our GPS ( which obviously was drunk today, because it did not send us to the venue...) and have a long soundcheck! Ah, it has been a glorious day. After soundcheck we had some very good chinese food and then we played a show at The Twisted Wheel... which was good. A lot of fun, even though, there could have been more people. But the people there was beautiful! Thank you for coming!Anyways, today is the very first gig we've ever played in the UK, where we got a case of cold beers!! That felt extremely rewarding, and it was about time!!
A good nights sleep now and we're off to Nottingham and Bodega tomorrow!
See you.

Nov 06 2008, 05:24 AMTour Update, Day 3 - A Mean Carbonara, A Stella And A Single Malt...Wednesday, November 05, 2008
Went from York to Glasgow today... Getting from York, just outside Glasgow where we are now was a piece of cake thanks to our GPS. However...finding the hotel was not easy!...we drove up and down the same street 6 times, trying, the side streets x number of times, asking every person we could find, where our hotel was. Only to discover we couldn't understand fuck all of scottish... So we drove around the same streets thinking we could understand what the hell they were saying for 45 mins. Anyways, we finally got what they what they were trying to say and we got there.
Then we had a mean carbonara with the friendly people of Crowwood hotel, alongside a stella and a single malt and we are all, now very happy.
Looking forward to the gig at The Twisted Wheel tomrrorow.
See you!
Kim,TAQ
