  First saw the boys in 1984. Saw them several more times until the last time around 91 in Seattle. Took Joey to a nearby bar where I was the bouncer. Country Dick met us there after closing, we drank a bottle of Hurra Durra tequila and Dick sang "A Big Fuckin' Poofta" on top of the bar for about 8 people. Unforgettably funny. I still listen to "Van Go" on vinyl. Miss you guys.

  I spent an entire day and night with the boys when they played Peggy's Hi Lo in Boulder, CO in '86. A friend of mine owned a record store and put on an event that ended being 8 people (including band) drinking nearly all of a keg of beer, then going to the show and drinking nearly a case of beer each. They didn't miss a note and put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. Great audience participation!

  I've been a Happy Boy since '84. Once I read the Beat Farmer's Almanac that fell out of the record sleeve (remember those?!) I was transported to a new way of thinking. I quit the Mormon church and joined the Navy. True story.
