Originally forming in 1988, The Curtain Society, (Duncan Arsenault: drums, Roger Lavallee: vocals, guitars, Ron Mominee: bass) immediately strikes you as something different. For the better part of the last ten years, this Massachusetts three-piece has been doing what they can to dig deep beyond the surface of rock music. From the stompbox guitar swirl, to the churning rhythms, the sound they create is expansive, intricate and catchy at the same time. Sonics for the song's sake, and not the other way around.
