Catchy hooks, a fuzzed-out amp, and a head in the clouds. The Diplomats formed in early 1999 as a three-piece. Recorded six-song EP with Mitch Easter and Ted Comerford in April 2000 (still in post-production process). Loose, high-energy shows and melodic songwriting influenced by the reckless power-pop of The Replacements, The Kinks, Cheap Trick, The Jam, the Move, Big Star, early Who, and so on.
Listen.com says: 'Catchy, hook-oriented Pop possessing the wet-behind-the-ears innocence of Matthew Sweet.'
