The Gemini Program started in early 2000, first jumping into the Dallas club circuit as "START". The name The Gemini Program came in mid 2000. The band self-released the demo "Two For Flinching" in late 2000 and began touring. With months of playing out as a cohesive unit, The Gemini Program went back into the studio in January of 2001 to record the self-released full length album "...something out there" and didn't come out until May of that same Year. The Current line-up of the band was a long time in the making. With new guitarist Chris Mcgrew (Aug 2002), new bass player Dustin Fleming (February 2002), and original members Danny Skinner and Gabriel Muzquiz, the band is what it was always destined to be. A well oiled machine. In a relatively short time, The Gemini Program has developed a formidable following. TGP has played only the premier venues in Dallas and the surrounding areas such as The Curtain Club, Club Clearview, Trees, The Aardvark, Dans Bar, etc. The band has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such local greats as Valve, Bowling for Soup, Chomsky, Adventures of Jet, Blue.Sky.Black, and [daryl] to name a few. Additionally The Gemini Program has enjoyed numerous radio show appearances and radio show hosted local music showcases. Gabe played in Bluegroove with Danny as playing formerly with the band Slow Roosevelt. Gabe is currently a music student at the University of North Texas and plays in several jazz bands in the Dallas area. The youngest member of the band is bassist Dustin Flemming formerly of the Dallas indie rock bands Fertile Appearance and Jetset. Chris is a self-taught musician making his debut mark on the Dallas music scene. START is now The Gemini Program. Same band, same goals, fresh outlook.
