The genesis for The Noise Band came in August, 1999, when members Peter Kurie and Colin Milne began writing songs and jamming, mainly for fun. Prior to The Noise Band, both Pete and Colin had performed in local bands, but had worked little together. Within several months, The Noise Band had assembled a handful of original tunes and performed several gigs in the Hershey,PA area. The duo parted ways in 2000 to pursue college studies, but regrouped in the summer of 2001 to record their first album, "Everyone for Sale." The Noise Band remained active in 2002 by performing more gigs and developing a new batch of songs. 2003 promises to be the most active year yet for The Noise Band with the release of a 3 song demo and plans to record a full-length album.
