  I've also been listening to them since 1990 when I first saw "Golden Blunders" on MTV (when they used to play music videos) I went out and bought Dear 23 the next day and listened to it non-stop for the entire weekend. I recommend newcomers to start with "Dear 23", then move on to the other albums..."Failure" is their first and a very stripped down lo-fi production, but still has great songwriting. "Amazing Disgrace" is their darkest album that has some of their best songs. "Success" was their pre-1998 break-up album that has some of their best songwriting. "Alive Before the Iceberg" is a concert album recorded in Spain. "In Case You Didn't Feel Like Plugging In" is a live acoustic album of their hits. "Nice Cheekbones and a PhD" is a power-pop E.P. "Every Kind of Light" is their latest and most mature sound. If you can find it, every die-hard Posies fan must have "At Least...At Last" a 4-disc set of their demos/outtakes/live recordings. "Dream All Day" is a greatest hits album, but it doesn't do their catalog any justice. I lived in Seattle way back when and I got to see them live on at least 9 different occasions...the last time was February 1996 at a free concert before Amazing Disgrace was released. Their live performance of "Flood of Sunshine" is unreal! But they rarely play it live.

  For all the newbies, Start wherever, but make sure you check out Dear 23 just as much as Frosting on the Beater. Different styles, but both are awesome albums. Awesome band. Fuck all the nowadays excuses for indie and rock bands that have barely a fragment of the integrity, passion and cool of bands like the posies. Can't touch Auer and stringfellow for the heartfelt and heart-strings.. You told me/you told me/ you told me you loved life. Don't tell me/don't tell me/ don't tell me... More...   For all the newbies, buy "Frosting on the Beater," then "Amazing Disgrace" and go from there. Truly great band.

  i am guessing that everyone got "I guess Your Right" & "Love Comes" on their computer/laptop which had Windows Vista. Because that's how i came across them
