More...We hope this first newsletter of Autumn finds you in fine health. Yep, if you hadn't noticed yet, we're already in March, which sadly means summer has started to make its way towards the northern hemisphere. But they probably need it up there more than us anyway. Down to some news.
NEW DEMO
After busily writing new tunes during February we entered the studio at the end of last week to record demos of two of the new songs, "The Rafters" and "Comets". We're pleased to say they're all done and ready for Andrew to take to the USA. You can listen to them right now at myspace.com/thequills or thequills.com.au.
These demos are part of our preparation work for our next record which we plan to record later this year.
We really hope you like the new tracks. But this is just the start. We're going crazy writing at the moment and so we'll have many more new songs over the coming months.
ANDREW TAKES FLIGHT
At about 7 this morning Andrew will be in the air headed for the USA. He'll be hitting Austin, TX for SXSW and then spending the rest of his time between LA and NYC. He's got the new demo in his hands so hopefully he can work a bit of magic over in America. Keep up with his adventures at the blog.
When Andrew's back in the country we'll be announcing tour dates. But until then we'll go back to being songwriting recluses. If you're interested, Dave updates the blog pretty regularly with his take on how some of the songs are coming together.
