“True punkrock does not come from England, America or Scandinavia, but directly from the heart." The RADIOACTIVES, Muenster’s figureheads in punkrock, prove their thesis impressively with an outstanding energetic live-performance. Looking for similar music styles, one might find influences of Social Distortion, Descendents / All or rougher Green Day. The band from Muenster and Essen marks its own style based on the characteristic vocals and the thoughtful varied drumming. This rocks. In the end of 2004 the RADIOACTIVES have been awarded with the “German Rock & Pop Prize" as one of the three best german punkbands.
Since founding the band in 1999 The RADIOACTIVES convinced as support of international punkrock heroes such as The Turbo A.C.'s, Gang Green, The Peepshows, Terrorgruppe or The Briefs. In more than 70 shows they had appearances abroad, on the radio or even as a live-act on a theatre-stage. In this manner the band could establish a considerable fan community all over the country.
The latest album [Vete al Diablo! (2008)] contains 10 well-arranged punkrock tracks which directly effect ears and dancing shoes. So The RADIOACTIVES could once again put out a more than equal successor to their EP [Say Yeah To Hell! (2002)], which is nearly sold out in the meantime. Already with the first cd [Rock'n'Roll Detective, Chief Rec. 05 (2001)] and the vinyl debut [We Have To Pay!, Chief Rec. 02 (2000)] were produced and sold D.I.Y. The magazines appreciated that with exclusively good reviews.
