    To: Taylor and Crume!! The Soul Stirrers were the best! I'm constantly relaying to my daugthers the true impact of their contribution to music as we know it today. Their music is greatly appreciated and still inspiring today!!!

    The Soul Stirrers have got to be my all-time favorite group, well, after The Taylor Brothers(my Dad and his brothers, of which I sung for two years before my Dad passed in 1986). Anyway, my Dad, his twin brother, and Sam Cooke were good friends after they shared the same stage in 1952. I have a lot of their recordings from R.H. Harris and Mozell Franklin and James Medlock to Sam Cooke and Paul Foster to Johnnie Taylor, Jimmy Outler, Willie Rogers and Martin Jacox to James Davis and Dillard Cr... More...

    This is one of my favorite gospel singing group, Of course My uncle Leroy Crume was the first one to play gituar with that group, when sam cooke got with them.
