Hello from The Sounds!
We wanted to give everyone an update on what is going on in our world as there is so much happening! First of all, we want to thank everyone who have come out to see us so far on our worldwide headline tour!! We have played 20 shows already, and after so many concerts this year where we were a support act or at a festival, we are so glad to be finally playing full headline shows for all of you! We were thrilled to be joined this week by SEMI PRECIOUS WEAPONS, who join FOXY SHAZAM as one of our support acts on the North American leg of the tour. These two incredible bands are full of non stop energy, and entertaining in every way, and along with the DJ’s make every show along the tour a non stop party from start to finish. If you live in Europe, you will be lucky as we have MATT & KIM joining us to dance to when we come to your city.
Speaking of non stop parties, WE’RE COMING BACK TO CALI!!!
In true Sounds form, we are bringing some of our friends along with us! A few years ago, we came to play in Los Angeles at the Wiltern and were lucky enough to have SHINY TOY GUNS play with us. We have heard so many times how incredible of an experience that was for all of you, so we asked Shiny Toy Guns if they would come along and play a few shows with us again in California. They will be joining us in San Diego and San Francisco, and for our recently announced SECOND NIGHT AT THE WLTERN in Los Angeles!! If you don’t live in the area, you should drive or fly in for one of these shows so you can experience a night you wont soon forget!! You can go to the FORUM on our website and talk to others about carpooling, or where to stay, or how to meet up with one another. Semi Precious Weapons will open this special show at the Wiltern on October 22nd, and DJ DESTRUCTO will keep you dancing between bands!
The FIRST NIGHT AT THE WILTERN October 21rst has a few tickets still left too, and we are thrilled to announce that MOVING UNITS are going to play with us on this show along with Foxy Shazam and some DJ’s. Moving Units only play a few shows a year, and whenever they do, it is always a non stop dance party...PERFECT for a show with us!! So if you live in, around or can get to Los Angeles for either or both of these two shows at The Wiltern, make sure you don’t miss out and get your tickets now!
While we are in Los Angeles, we thought we’d warm everyone up by performing the network TV debut of Beatbox on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE on ABC. We are playing his outdoor stage, and for those of you who were lucky enough to get tickets (it’s sold out), it will be a ton of fun. The show will be on Tuesday October 20th, so make sure you don’t miss it or set your Tivos and DVR’s. Speaking of Beatbox, here is a still photo from one of the frames of the video that we will be premiering soon. This is more like a movie than a music video, and it is full of special FX, and we cant wait until you all can see it.
Pretty soon we’ll be crossing back over to Europe, and bringing the tour to all of you back home. We’re hitting most every country in mainland Europe and the UK with the same non stop party that we’re bringing to North America. Some good news for those of you in Madrid, our sold out show is being moved from the Joy Eslava, to the La Riviera, so more tickets are now available. We’re finishing off the tour in Finland, where pretty much the entire run is already sold out too. THANK YOU FINLAND!!
