We wanted to give everyone an update on what is going on in our world as there is so much happening! First of all, we want to thank everyone who have come out to see us so far on our worldwide headline tour!! We have played 20 shows already, and after so many concerts this year where we were a support act or at a festival, we are so glad to be finally playing full headline shows for all of you! We were thrilled to be joined this week by SEMI PRECIOUS WEAPONS, who join FOXY SHAZAM as one of our support acts on the North American leg of the tour. These two incredible bands are full of non stop energy, and entertaining in every way, and along with the DJ’s make every show along the tour a non stop party from start to finish. If you live in Europe, you will be lucky as we have MATT & KIM joining us to dance to when we come to your city.
Speaking of non stop parties, WE’RE COMING BACK TO CALI!!!
In true Sounds form, we are bringing some of our friends along with us! A few years ago, we came to play in Los Angeles at the Wiltern and were lucky enough to have SHINY TOY GUNS play with us. We have heard so many times how incredible of an experience that was for all of you, so we asked Shiny Toy Guns if they would come along and play a few shows with us again in California. They will be joining us in San Diego and San Francisco, and for our recently announced SECOND NIGHT AT THE WLTERN in Los Angeles!! If you don’t live in the area, you should drive or fly in for one of these shows so you can experience a night you wont soon forget!! You can go to the FORUM on our website and talk to others about carpooling, or where to stay, or how to meet up with one another. Semi Precious Weapons will open this special show at the Wiltern on October 22nd, and DJ DESTRUCTO will keep you dancing between bands!
The FIRST NIGHT AT THE WILTERN October 21rst has a few tickets still left too, and we are thrilled to announce that MOVING UNITS are going to play with us on this show along with Foxy Shazam and some DJ’s. Moving Units only play a few shows a year, and whenever they do, it is always a non stop dance party...PERFECT for a show with us!! So if you live in, around or can get to Los Angeles for either or both of these two shows at The Wiltern, make sure you don’t miss out and get your tickets now!
While we are in Los Angeles, we thought we’d warm everyone up by performing the network TV debut of Beatbox on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE on ABC. We are playing his outdoor stage, and for those of you who were lucky enough to get tickets (it’s sold out), it will be a ton of fun. The show will be on Tuesday October 20th, so make sure you don’t miss it or set your Tivos and DVR’s. Speaking of Beatbox, here is a still photo from one of the frames of the video that we will be premiering soon. This is more like a movie than a music video, and it is full of special FX, and we cant wait until you all can see it.
Pretty soon we’ll be crossing back over to Europe, and bringing the tour to all of you back home. We’re hitting most every country in mainland Europe and the UK with the same non stop party that we’re bringing to North America. Some good news for those of you in Madrid, our sold out show is being moved from the Joy Eslava, to the La Riviera, so more tickets are now available. We’re finishing off the tour in Finland, where pretty much the entire run is already sold out too. THANK YOU FINLAND!!
And of course, please don’t forget that our new album CROSSING THE RUBICON is out now, so make sure you get it! You can find out where to buy the album, and a ton of other info at www.the-sounds.com. The Sounds & Foxy Shazam are going out on the road this fall and we’re celebrating with a contest! By joining this group on Friends Or Enemies you could become the lucky grand prize winner that will take home an iPod filled with music from The Sounds & Foxy Shazam, along with a t-shirt from each band! Aug 17, 06:49 AMFall Headline Tour!!Hello Sounds world!! After a winter playing arenas across Europe opening for Fall Out Boy, and a Spring and Summer playing amphitheatres across the USA with No Doubt, we are very happy to let you know that tickets are now on sale for our Fall WORLDWIDE headline tour!!! While it's been great to be able to play for so many people as an opening act, we cant wait to be able to bring a full headline show to you all!
We have a few festivals still this summer in Sweden, Austria and Germany, but then we head to Canada to start our headline tour in Quebec. We will be playing 75 dates across Canada, USA, UK, and all of Europe starting Sept 11 and going through Dec 19 where we end, in an already sold out show, in Helsinki, Finland. Those of you in Mexico, South America, Asia and Australia, we are still trying to get there and hopefully we will be able to announce that our world tour will also include you too!
Joining us for the North American leg will be Foxy Shazam, along with some other not yet announced acts and DJ's throughout the tour. Matt & Kim are going to be joining us for the European and UK leg of the tour!
OVer the days ahead we will continue to post updates, new dates that are constantly adding, banners, tools and posters to help promote the tour. Also make sure you join our Fancorps team to be able to get the latest on ways to enter contests and be part of the promoting team that surrounds us and is so essential to us. We also have a new FORUM section of our home site where you can connect with fans around the world, share photos, stories, find out who you could stay with and carpool with to get to a show, and meet others who are part of our community. Make sure you go check it out and become a part of it.
Tickets for the first half or so of the North American dates go on sale this weekend, the rest will be next weekend. Most of Europe is already on sale as well. Jun 02, 07:02 AMJune 2nd Has Finally Arrived!!!Hey everyone! We are so happy that finally our new album Crossing The Rubicon is out! As you may have heard or read from some of our interviews, this is a very important album for us as we made the decision to make this record totally on our own, without the help or involvement of a record label. We basically toured the world, over 25 countries on Dying To Say This To You, and brought all of our experiences of playing for you, meeting you, and connecting with you, and tried to put all of that into our new album. What has resulted is a much more intimate and personal album from us, but still gets you on your feet dancing your asses off. This is the best stuff we've ever written and recorded, and we're sure these songs will be favorites of yours too!!
There are a bunch of things going on surrounding the release of the record that you should know about. First of all, we have at the same time released the album in all countries around the world DIGITALLY. That means if you have an i-tunes store, or a major digital retailer, Crossing The Rubicon should be available now. In some countries, we are selling through every digital provider, and even through cell phones. When its time to come through on tour in your country, we will then get the physical copy of the record available for you. When you are buying the record, you are basically buying it from us!!! So please go out and support. To make this as easy as possible, we have set up links to a lot of major countries. You can go to our site HERE that has all of this available for you DOWNLOAD THE ALBUM HERE Before we left Malmo to start the No Doubt tour in the USA, we went in and recorded a special version of No One Sleeps When I'm Awake that is available along with a CD booklet on the I-tunes store with album art and lyrics. We will also be putting up some web site exclusive packages and downloads to buy directly off of our own site too in the days ahead.
In the USA, Canada and Scandinavia, the album is also out in every store!! Make sure you go and get it! Here are some of the places in the USA... Best Buy – on sale for $7.99. Your local independent record store – Get a FREE 7” single featuring a live version of “Ego” recorded last summer in Finland, while supplies last!!
