Hello Everyone,
Hope you all had a great X-mas! Seeing that tomorrow is the end of 2009 (and the decade) we'd like to say thanks to all of you for giving us such an awesome year with these few extras in this end of the year round up.
As many of you are aware Glen came up with a great idea to busk for charity on Christmas Eve. Thanks to everyone who went out to busk in aid of Dublin Simon and also to those of you who donated money online.
Glen was accompanied by Damien Rice, Mundy, Declan O'Rourke, Liam O Maonlai and Bono on Grafton Street in Dublin and they managed to raise more than 2000 euros for the Simon Community in the space of an hour which will be a great help for the organisation. So thanks again to all!
Hope we can make a tradition out of this because it is really a beautiful way to celebrate Christmas and what Christmas is really all about.
On the 15th of December the band had the last Irish gig of the year at Vicar Street, Dublin. They had a choir from Glen's old school and the kids joined the lads and Mar on the stage to sing a few songs.
They have done a great job, check out the videos below. Also, the lads surprised the audience with a mini Frames set at the end of gig that sounded fantastic..again, watch the vids for more..

Photographer Bob Dixon took some stunning photos at the gig too and you can view the images here. Bob's other work can be found on http://www.bobdixonphotography.com/or on his Myspace site and for photo junkies it is a must see because he does have lots of cool images on them sites.
Also, make sure to check out the Swell Season video that was posted on Boing Boing. The footage runs about 10 minutes and includes an interview and a three song performance.
It has been cool to learn the news that NPR rates Once album in top 50 most important albums of decade. You can read more about it here.
Once is also in the top 10 films of the decade, according to AP Movie Writer
David Germain and according to Chicago Tribune as well.
We have a few online articles for those who like a good reading.
Rolling Stone gave an outstanding review for the performance that had been posted on the Daytrotter Session. You can read the review here and there is also an interview on the site (both features are in German!).
Again for German speakers: there is a positive review of Strict Joy on the be24 blog and a kudos for the Low Rising video on the Schallgrenzen blog.
Low Rising is also featured on the Dutch 3voor12 music site and has been added as a new video to the German Pop10 Live Playlist.
So that's it for 2009 everyone. We will see you next year and wishing you all a Happy New Year!
