The Volunteers are coming to Cleveland.. playing an awesome show at the Hi-Fi Club in Lakewood with Nathan Hedges and the Imports!
This will be an inauguration party, so it will be an awesome show... also this is a special show for bassist Dave Smith and vocalist Dan Goddard, as they are originally from Bainbridge and Shaker respectively...of course all the Volunteers will be there to rock the stage. Come out and party with us!

we (the volunteers) are super excited about our first brooklyn show in over two years! as brooklyn is our home it is always fun for us to play to a crowd of our friends and local supporters of our rock and/or roll music.
this friday October 10th, at 10pm at the trash bar!
things have been going really well for the Volunteers lately, we have recently signed on with a management company who is going to help us spread our music even further and we are working on putting some tour dates together for hopefully the fall.
we are still gearing up for the official release of our new album, for now it remains available for free download on ilike.com

our 2nd album "Spectrophilia" was a few years in the making with respected producer/engineer Paul Mahajan (tv on the radio, yeah yeah yeahs, National) we took the time to get everything right and recorded it in the comfort of our own recording studio, Monsterland. It was made with love...and some hate too thrown in for good measure :)
these are trying times for our nation, but if there is one thing that i can assure you is that you need the volunteers....and we need you too!

the Volunteers play at 10pm so don't be late!
before us at 9pm is Ash Gray who plays some pretty rad violent femmes meets 50's vibe music plays and after us at 11 are the tall black girls who recently recorded their debut EP at my studio, Monsterland with Clint Steele of the Swans. they are 4 cool rocker chicks that remind me of ac/dc meets the runaways.
its going to be a great night for music, and together we might just save the world! (but probably not)
