Wheat began as an three-person acoustic recording seesion in 1984. In the years since, songwriting has developed mainly on electronic systems through midi and synthesizers. Several different singers and musicians have also contributed, and two Wheat tunes appeared on Dr. Demento's radio program in the early '90's. Wheat is a copyright-registered group, and not at all associated with any, more recent band using the same name.
