  Just watched On the Ropes on TOTP there. Bless 'em! I'm an oldie now and have been a fan since the beginning. They are nowadays proper legends!! Their live shows are super polished and absolutely kick it every time. Without doubt they are the best they have ever been. They headlined the Avalon stage, and although I knew it might be a popular gig it was an absolute joy to see the whole place going absolutely mental and singing every word of the songs. I expected to see a few fans amongst a load of people who went along because it was a familiar name from the past but instead it was truly a "fans" gig...perhaps even more than the ones I've been to recently at bigger town based venues. There were moments where it was so fever pitch that I thought we were going to capsise!!! Hup Hup Hup! Keep it coming!

  I missed seeing the Bass Thing perform and will miss Gilksy. I'm gonna see the 'new' line up, seeing Miles with short hair was a shock for me ... fingers crossed about the 'new' guys - but couldn't miss an Eight Legged Groove Machine tour

  Couldn't agree more about Fiddley... they're doing the whole Grove Machine?!!! Come back to Canada!! Still, it won't be quite the same without Gilksey.

  Looking forward to seeing them in Dudley in July (why isn't that on the tour list here?). Great band live, great band on cd, great band full stop! Will try to see them in Brum too. I think Jesus Jones are supporting, which is the cherry on the cake for me!
