Jul 06, 08:40 AMAsk Arcana Week 20Ask Arcana Week 20
Hey Arcana! So whats the status of the song "Away?" That little ditty and I crossed paths recently and it we had a pretty good time together. Is it actually going to be featured on the album of a certain popular vampire series...or is there a chance we can reclaim it on Ursa Minor?
-- "Hold me hold me down till I say when" . . . Ah away. You are such the romantic. It’s Minor bound.
Hello love, For the Art for Life auction in NYC, are the tickets people are bidding on just general admission?
--VIP tickets. And you get to meet the band after. Wear something rock and roll.
Is the whole crew traveling out for the show at GMA on July 17?
--The whole circus is going. Even me!
Chrissy, tell Jenkins to type up a blog ...this site is lacking
-- Good idea. I will tell him. He just got back from the beach.
Firstly let me say 'love your work'. I don't want to be a pain but is there ANYTHING I can do to help or encourage you guys with the International distribution of the music? I appreciate that the single is available via Amazon and iTunes, however neither of these will let me download with a NZ billing address. Is this going to be changed in time for album launch? I will happlily pay twice for the album (firstly electronic while waiting for the CD format) - just need somewhere to get it from.
--We are working on getting distribution over seas. They really want to tour abroad on this album.
Will the Ursa Major Vinyl come with a digital download coupon? I know a lot of bands are doing this as of late. Some bands charge a bit more for the vinyl and include both a cd and the vinyl.
--Are you kidding me? We never thought of that. We barely got the vinyl out the door. But you can pre-order it at Best Buy now!
Any chance that the band will consider releasing the soundboard of the MJ tribute? That was really awesome and would be special on so many levels to have.
-- Super good idea. They should. Duly noted and suggested. :)
Also, while I'm doing this. wikipedia, the reliable source of information that it is, repeatedly has shown a track called 'forever' as being in contention for Major--does such a track even exist?
-- Does not exist.
Will the guys ever put Persephone on an album? It's such a beautiful song...
-- That could go on a vault or the live album, but not Ursa Minor.
Hey do you know the low down on the Good Morning America performance on July 17th?
-- More info on Good Morning America can be found at here.
If you have any questions about the Good Morning America summer concert featuring Third Eye Blind please contact the audience coordinator at Samantha.l.green@abc.com . Please write Third Eye Blind Concert in the subject line.
How many songs will they perform at GMA, will be playing with them, what songs are they going to do? And, if you’re from BKNY will you be there??
--Probably four songs. Two new, two old.
Not long ago, we were told Carnival Barker would have lyrics and would be on Major. According to the tracklisting however, it says instrumental. Which is true? Why?
--Doug’s gonna have to talk about that one. Check his blog, think he did already.
A BIG what the fuck on Carnival Barker instrumental... Clarification/ explanation requested.
--You know, not to be a cop or anything here, but I can get a little militant about using terms like "lies," my friend. I have never seen anyone work or care as much about music and the people he makes it for than Stephan. It’s going to be instrumental on Major, and it's going to have words on Minor. That's a change and you act like it's because he doesn't care.
Hey, I know that contests are ran and things like that to win meet and greet passes, but is there any other way to get them? So is there any way that those are available for purchase or anything like that?
--Are you trying to bribe me??? Nooooooo!! -

Sep 15 2008, 08:57 AMMix A New Third Eye Blind Track on Indabamusic.com!Third Eye Blind is back and energized as they gear up to release their new album, Ursa Major. Participate in a series of contests starting with "Non-Dairy Creamer" and you can help them put on the final touches!
With their first new track in over five years, Third Eye Blind comes out swinging. "Non-Dairy Creamer" is an ironic, pointed statement on modern American society. Based on a powerful arrangement of guitars, vocals, drums, bass, and violin, there's still a lot of room for you to get in there and work your magic.
Third Eyed Blind provides you with the un-mixed instrument stems for "Non-Dairy Creamer" so you can get your hands dirty. Mix your own version, remix theirs, or add your own tracks to the mix.
Inspire the band with your vision of the song!
Here's the link: http://www.indabamusic.com/contests/show/3eb_non-dairy-creamer
I've also thrown up a basic mix of the song here on the iLike page.
