Buffalo, NY's THIS IS AN EMPIRE was founded in 2007 with the desire to create something new. The band wasted no time, writing and recording countless songs, embarking on a nationwide tour, and building a rapid hometown following within months of incorporating. The three-piece entered the studio in July of 2009 with producer Casey Bates (Chiodos, Portugal The Man, Pierce The Veil), emerging with an overpowering set of songs fusing electro, pop, and rock n' roll. The band is set to round out 2009 with fresh material, a new lineup, a new outlook, and looking to prove that what they have is more than a band - THIS IS AN EMPIRE.
