With a name meaning "God of Thunder" it could be suggested that ToR's path was laid out for him since birth on the icy slopes of Whistler, Canada. 20 years on, a holiday to Australia ended up as permanent residency leading ToR to eventually delve into the world of electronic music. Currently in production on his first album 'Drum Therapy' ToR hopes to make a style of music that hasnt already been done "something with good beats, nice melodies, not a lot of this zappy, electronic, blippy stuff you hear, something a bit more intelligent, I guess."He describes his music as "trancey, mellow breakbeats." and claims there's not really much else around like it. "I'm trying to make good music, something enjoyable and relaxing, although some of it danceable. I get inspired from everywhere, Moby is definitely an influence. If I hear a mixing style or something in a song that I like, or a way to do it, then I will pull it from there."The response has been good. Everyone who hears it seems to like it. Review verdict are that the music is unique and different. "I'm going to try and get into promoting it more, try to get it out there and get more people to hear it. It would be nice if I could make a living off it. Right now it's just a hobby I suppose, hopefully one day I'll make it somewhere."~Alana Hall, Feature Article, Tsunami Music Mag
