    I heard Tom Rush for the first time in my favorite record store in Cape Town, South Africa back in '79. His laid back voice and tunes has always ranked him very high on my list of folk artists such as Magna Carta, Gordon Lightfoot, Loudon Wainwright, John Renbourn etc.

    I've been enjoying Tom's music since the early 70's, having been introduced to it on the Gene Shay Sunday night folk show on WMMR in Philly. It was great seeing him live several times at the old Main Pointe in Bryn Mawr and when I was a student at Widener College, too. Classic, timeless songs, artfully written and performed.
