Tommy Beavitt is a singer, songwriter and linguist based in the north-west of Scotland. He has been recording and performing original material since 1989, playing throughout Europe and also in America and Australia. His humorous and quirky songs also venture into darker realms of human experience.
His first cassette album Breaking Wind was followed by In the Night Kitchen. The last studio recording, Holding Water, co-produced by Toby Shippey (Salsa Celtica) and James Locke, and featuring contributions by Mr McFall's Chamber Orchestra and Riley Briggs (Aberfeldy), is available on CD and iTunes.
Tommy Beavitt was born in Sydney, Australia on the ninteenth of April, 1968, to an English couple who had conceived him along the hippy trails of Asia.
He was brought up in Scoraig peninsula where he received some of the impressions that inform the themes of his songs.
