The response to our song
'Dream' has been overwhelming! It's been Track of the Week several times, both in jazz and electronica, and has scored high in both charts.
It's been played on Popscene, a dutch radio program, and on several Internet stations and podcasts! Our EP has also gotten great reviews on several music sites and in New Orleans' own indierock zine Sixtensplit! Thanks to everyone for your love and support!
We started work on an animation for ‘Dream'. You can find a preview at the link below.
Undergrounduniverse is a great looking website dedicated to new music. For a fee bands can upload mp3's, bio's , video clips and much more. They graciously allowed Tremoflex9000 to post a preview for the 'Dream' animation.
Visit the link below and send us an e-mail with your comments! This is very much a work in progress and any input is greatly appreciated!
From the streets of Gotham to a ‘sno ball stand' in uptown New Orleans converted into a small but funky recording studio. A bunch of obsolete gear with big knobs, VU meters and wooden paneling. A collection of cheap Casio keyboards, assorted guitar pedals and various other junk. The only concession to the 21st Century a computer that swallows the analog mayhem, chops it up and spits it out in digital format.
The twangy guitars, lush synth pads and instant rhythms of Phil the Tremolo King, loungesinger and surf guitarist
The chopped up beats, lo fi mayhem and eerie trumpet lines of Flex Unger, Brooklyn DJ and free jazz fanatic
The soulful organ and piano stylings of Vic Ruggiero, Bronx beatnik and mastermind of New York's legendary ska band the Slackers
And over it all, the sensual voice of Franky, Jamaican-canadian jazz singer, wraps itself snakelike around the music, then soars above it like a bird taking flight.
Where else but New York City could these four characters meet?
