Guess who's got a new cookbook coming out? Me! It's called Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood: stories and recipes to share with family and friends. Once again, I wrote it with my mom, Gwen and my sister, Beth. It hits bookstores April 6, 2010.

Here's the cover of the new cookbook! Me and a glass of sweet tea standing outside at my house in Nashville. This book is more of the same basic home cooking that was in the first book. I hope you guys enjoy it!

  • Trisha & Garth Join Thousands To Volunteer In Asia For Annual Habitat For Humanity Build

166 homes will be built or repaired in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Cambodia and Laos as part of Habitat for Humanity's Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project

The Carters and nearly 3,000 volunteers from around the world will build and repair 166 homes in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Cambodia and Laos - all countries along the Mekong River. In the Mekong River Basin, nearly one-fifth of the population lives in poverty - many on less than the equivalent of one US dollar per day, according to the CIA World Factbook.

"In an area of the world where many people live in deplorable conditions, we have a chance to help families improve their housing," said former President Jimmy Carter. "Over the years I have seen the lasting impact Habitat for Humanity volunteers can have, and I have been personally touched by the work they are doing around the world."

Country music stars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will volunteer alongside the Carters during the Carter Work Project. Brooks and Yearwood have worked on numerous Habitat build sites in recent years.

  • Trisha Yearwood Partners With Campbell Soup & The Grammy Foundation To Help Children Rediscover Music In Schools

Labels for EducationTM Taps Three-Time GRAMMY® Award Winner Trisha Yearwood to Launch Enhanced Program

    SLIDESHOW

Get Free Curriculum for your school here!

Campbell Soup Company and the GRAMMY Foundation® today announced plans to make music education more accessible in tens of thousands of schools across America. Research has shown that when students have access to arts, they tend to also perform better in the classroom. Unfortunately, music programs are being eliminated at many elementary and secondary schools due to the budget pressures impacting schools across the country.

To help address this disturbing trend, Campbell is partnering with the GRAMMY Foundation to provide schools access to the sort of innovative resources needed to offer students a well-rounded music education. Through the partnership, the GRAMMY Foundation`s proprietary Discovery Through Music curriculum will be made available to nearly 60,000 schools nationwide that are registered in this year`s Labels for Education program. Customized for children in kindergarten through 6th grade, the new curriculum will help young students understand the basic elements of music, including beat, tempo, rhythm and pitch, and apply these fundamentals as part of lesson plans for language arts, math, science and technology.
