Originally formed in late 1998, Ultraphonic hails from Stockbridge, GA, the hometown of 'Collective Soul'. After recording their debut CD with Producer Bryan Holmes (former drummer of 80's pop group 'The Producers') Ultraphonic became the the top drawing unsigned band in the highly competitive Atlanta club scene. They consistantly play to packed houses of dedicated fans and have sold over 3500 copies of their 1998 debut CD. Substantial airplay has resulted on numerous new music shows throughout the Southeast including specialty plays on 99x Atlanta as well as heavy rotation play at WKZQ in Myrtle Beach, SC in the summer of '99. Recording of their highly anticipated 2nd CD, 'IMPRESSION' is completed and it's release is planned for the summer of 2000. The broad range of material on this new disc stems from their love of the music from legends Led Zeppelin and The Beatles as well as from contemporary artists' such as STP and Live. This unified and keenly focused effort takes the listener on a melodic and lyrical journey expressing a lifetime of experience. While 'IMPRESSION' offers many potential radio singles, the CD was intentionally put together to capture the essence of many of the timeless concept albums of the seventies, conveying a central theme and flow. Ultraphonic feels very strongly that far too many CD's these days offer a couple of singles and ten or more filler songs of shallow content that ultimately leave the listener feeling disallusioned. Therefore, much time was painstakingly spent on the songwriting and the recording to ensure that this would be the best possible CD from the first song to the last. A full blown production video of the emotionally charged song 'Knocked Down' (Directed by Mil Canon of Imagemil Film and Television; TLC, Collective Soul) will accompany the CD's release as well. The future certainly looks bright for Ultraphonic with their seemingly unlimited quality songwriting ability and their unbrideled energetic live show. For this band it's always been and will always be about one thing...the fans. For more info, logon to www.ultraphonic.com or e-mail Manager Bryan Holmes at bh5157@aol.com
