With Uncle Mudfish just out of the studio and set to release the follow-up to their 1998 debut release, 'The Best is Yet to Come', the future is looking promising for the band. After only three months together in early '98 Uncle Mudfish booked Image 3 Studios in Cocoa, Florida and began work on their first album. The one-week project gained listeners by way of radio within one month after the finished product made its' way into stores. Two of the eight songs were spun throughout Central Florida as the band consistently packed venues and gained a name for themselves. This caught the attention of former publicist, Locked Groove Ent., who together with the music of Uncle Mudfish landed a seven-song deal with Mtv's hit show 'Road Rules.' Over 1100 copies of 'The Best is Yet to Come' were sold before two members of the band parted a mere two days after entertaining a crowd of over 1000 people at Orlando's House of Blues in late '98. Uncle Mudfish picked up new drummer Scott Perry and spent the most part of 99 rebuilding and defining their new sound. The band soon caught the attention of ICON Management which signed the band under the direct attention of CEO Daniel Badran. With management in place, the band has been in and out of the studio recording new material for the purpose of showcasing. Currently, the band is spending most of their time in the rehearsal studio in preparation for their upcoming tour slated to start in late August.
