However, as Wilco's evolution has shown, Jeff's vision for the development of his musical career spread much wider than the country and folk-inflected punk and alternative of UT. I personally prefer Son Volt over Wilco, but there is no denying that Wilco is a great band. I will still buy every album by either of those bands. Dec 18, 07:03 PMSon Volt May be better than Wilco is now (the new album showed how you can do country plus rock like Neil Young (GOOD) or the Eagles (BAD), and they strayed into Eagles territory), But I think Wilco has a better catalog, though when you compare Wilco and Son Volt It's obviously just creative differences between the two gifted songwriters.
