    According to e-mail from Slim's: Due to a family emergency, Wanda Jackson will no longer be performing at Slim's on 01/15/09. The concert, however, has not been cancelled. Red Meat will now be headlining the show. The ticket price has been reduced to $12.00. Refunds are available if you no longer want to attend the show. Or, if you would like to see Red Meat, we will refund the $8.00 difference between the original $20 ticket and the new $12 ticket.

    I was at the show at the Knitting Factory in NYC. Wow! Incredible energy, great sound, hot band. I really don't like to stand all through a show (as you must at the venue), but I didn't even think twice about standing, she was so good!
