  I was lucky to see one of Warren last shows in L.A. at the El Rey theatre. And I must say it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. An artist taken from us way before his time, He will be greatly missed.

  I remember once hearing Jim Belushi tell a Zevon story that made me cry. Jim was on the David Letterman show, and as always took the stage as the CBS Orchestra played "Excitable Boy". Jim told the story of how Warren Zevon came to rehab to visit him and saved him from drugs. I think the show aired right after Warren's death. It was really something else.

  I remember hearing somewhere a story that occurred shortly after his terminal cancer diagnosis. While riding in a car with his agent, they got a call from a major magazine of some sort that heard he was sick and wanted to schedule an interview. They'd apparently been trying to get him into this magazine for years with no luck. When his manager asked if he was interested, Warren replied - in his best dry sarcastic tone - "Too late."

  i think im the only 14 y/o old warren zevon fan left
