White Knuckle Ride is a 7 piece rock band with all the right ingredients: a pinch of southern slide, a scoop of fat back bass, a twist of bluegrass banjo and a slap of good ol' rock & roll. Dzielak having spent time in both Los Angeles and New York City was frustrated with joining bands. As a guitar player for Dogma, (a hard rock band from NY signed to King/Mercury Records) Dzielak recorded two albums with the band before he decided to quit and go his own way creatively. He was ready to branch off into a different style of music after purchasing a banjo, lap steel and experimenting with vocal harmonies. Dzielak, having written, played and recorded the demo by himself decided he wanted a band that didn't scrimp on instruments. It was time to contact some good ol' boys from and around the PA area including brother Ed Dzielak(drummer from Stottles Rockets), Armond Sposto(bassist from Bliss, local hero on the scene), Big Leo Shotz(played sax for Chubby Checker), Kevin Conway on percussion and Merle Hatchet playing guitar, banjo, lap steel. 'It rocks balls' describes Dzielak, whose influences include: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Tom Petty. The White Knuckle Ride band is playing in and around NY, NJ and PA so check em' out they're hot as tits.
