  Jeff, do us all a favor and don't assume that you are the only person who has ever come close to understanding woody guthrie. i imagine if woody could read your post he would probably think you were a pompous idiot who is under the delusion that he is better than other people. woody writes songs to the common man, the lyrics are not complex, the message is. Woody presents unique points of view, that are tough for some people to swallow. And just because someone likes the way he performs a ... More...   None of you have the slightest idea of what Woody stood for or what he sang about for that matter. Listen to Vigilante Man, The Dying Miner, or Jesus Christ. It was his purpose more than his voice that empowered people, but this is facebook so I shouldn't go too deep into this. You're all pathetic
